Date: 2017/10/05 Meeting with ARP and Region E Issue: Madala hostel business plan and Alexandra title deeds Resolution: Follow up meeting will be arranged.
Date: 2017/10/06 Meeting with region E head of housing and ward 107 Councillor (Hellen Joseph) Issue: Hostel maintenance Resolution: The meeting resolved that JPC appointed contractor should be allowed to do maintenance in hostel as required.
Date: 2017/10/09 Meeting with Denver informal settlement leadership and region F head Issue: South hills project and allocation. The people said that previous Administration promised them each area or informal settlement will be allocated. Resolution: COJ housing demand list will be used in allocation.
Date: 2017/10/11 Meeting with Kliptown residents, provincial and national Department of Human Settlement and region D officials Issue: Progress report on Kliptown project Resolutions: The meeting agreed that COJ and province should call all interest groups within an area to form one forum. The process of allocation will happen soon. The tender advertisement of kliptown project will be on paper before the end of October.
Date: 2017/01/16 Meeting with waterworks land owner, housing region G and legal Adviser Issue: Land owners wanted people to be evicted in their land or the city buy the land. Resolution: The city cannot buy the land because it is not developable.
Date: 2017/10/17 The meeting with Dobsonville residents whose houses had encroached the city land they have stopped the JOSHCO project Issue: They wanted city to buy their houses Resolution: The city would engage individual as oppose to engage the group.
Date: 2017/10/18 The meeting with the city staff hostels Issue: They want hostels to be transferred from JOSHCO to core housing department Resolution: It was explained to them that transferring the hostel from JOSHCO to any department needs council resolution.

We will not be seeing anyone concerning project enquiries/unit availability till all the current ones are captured and feedback is given to all applicants.
